Stalcraft Stalkers Faction Overview

Stalcraft’s Stalkers are a bit of a misnomer, as every human within the Zone is technically a Stalker. Anyways. Stalkers are the “good guys” in the Zone, so let’s take a detailed look at their faction.

Stalcraft Stalkers

Stalkers are the “good guys” in Stalcraft. They’re best known for saving distressed kittens stuck in tree branches from the dastardly Bandits who put them up there. At least, that’s what the Stalkers want you to believe.

In reality, Stalkers are just the other side of the same coin. There are no “good guys” in the zone, just those who make it, and those who don’t. So, how do the Stalkers fare in Stalcraft? Let’s find out.

Before we do, however. Do you hate playing alone? After all, it’s better to explore the Zone with a buddy by your side. If that’s the case, then you should definitely check out the Z League app. It’s the best tool for finding a gaming buddy to play the games you enjoy.

Key Takeaways for Stalcraft Stalkers Faction Overview

  • Stalkers start out in Ataman’s HQ in the Swamps
  • The Garage is your base in the Cordon. Thankfully, Stalkers tend to dominate in Cordon.
  • Stalkers share the Bar with Bandits. The balance of power in Rostok is, for the most part, evenly balanced
  • In the late game, Stalkers get the option to join either Duty or Freedom.

Which Sub-Factions Can Stalkers Join in Stalcraft?

Later on in the game, Stalkers get the option to side either with Duty, or with Freedom.

Duty are your hardline militarists who want to purge the zone of all the mutants and “degenerates” that infest it. And, they have the military equipment to do so, as they’re one of the most heavily armed factions in the game.

Freedom on the other hand wants nothing more than to take it easy, which is incredibly hard if you have Duty knocking on your front door.

If you join Freedom, Duty will hate your guts. If you join Duty, Freedom will hate your guts. So choose wisely.

Stalker Base/Safe-House Locations

The Swamps – Ataman’s HQ

The Swamps Stalcraft Stalkers

Stalkers spawn in the southern part of Swamps, in a location known as Ataman’s HQ. The Swamps are a heavily contested area, and with the relatively close proximity of the opposing faction’s base, skirmishes are a guarantee.

The southern part of Swamps is the de-factor Stalker part of Swamps, however, constant forrays by Bandit patrols make the security of the area questionable.

Stay sharp at all times when exploring The Swamps, as there’s an anomaly, or even worse, a bullet, behind every bush.

The Cordon – Garage

The Cordon

The Garage is the 2nd Base that Stalkers get and is located in the south-eastern part of The Cordon. Stalkers tend to dominate in the Cordon, as they have patrols roaming everywhere, which effectively puts the Bandits under siege.

Undeniably, the biggest advantage Stalkers get in the Cordon is located smack dab in the middle of the area. The location underneath the bridge, that’s located in the middle of this area, is the best place to go from one end of the area to the other. Conveniently, it’s also a Stalker camp.

Dark Valley is the Stalker’s resource-gathering zone in this part of the map, with the Dump being the contested resource-gathering area.

Rostok Factory – The Bar

Rostok Factory

Stalkers and Bandits have to share the Bar in Rostok. However, the factory itself is divided into two parts. The eastern part is mainly occupied by Stalkers, while the western part is mainly reserved for the Bandits.

The Forest is your resource-gathering zone in this area, with the Factory itself being the contested resource-gathering area in this part of the map. If you plan to make sorties in this area, make sure you’re well prepared beforehand.

Army Warehouses – Duty HQ / Freedom HQ

Army Warehouses

Army Warehouses is the final zone if you’re playing as Stalkers, figuratively and literally. By the point you reach this area, you should have unlocked the quest that requires you to join one of the sub-factions.

Duty’s HQ is located above ground, so if you join up with them, you’ll be spending most of your time above-grounds. However, if you join Freedom, you’ll be spending most of your time below-grounds.

The Graveyard is your resource-gathering zone in this area. Your contester resource-gathering zones are the four late-game zones: Yanov, the Red Forest, Limans, and Backwater. Don’t go into these zones unless you’re armed to the teeth, or else you’ll have a bad time.
